NRA Firearms Safety Course - Classes will resume in July
This gold standard course is nationally recognized, and we service the mid-west states. The curriculum is an action-packed combination of lecture/hands-on training, ending with a live-fire exercise. You will learn:
- Essential gun handling and safety rules
- Different types of pistols
- The basics of ammunition
- Proper grip techniques
- Stance for accurate shooting
- Most common shooting errors
- Proper gun cleaning and maintenance
- How to maintain your skills
This class includes eye and ear protection, ammo, and the use of a firearm to qualify.
Receive an official NRA Basic of Pistol Shooting certificate upon completion.
Kentucky Concealed Carry Permit - Classes will resume in July
The CCDW course is designed for people who wish to obtain their concealed firearms permit. This course goes over basic handgun safety and range rules, proper firing techniques, Kentucky laws pertaining to concealed carry and live fire at the range. The morning session of the class will take place in the classroom. Live fire at the range will be conducted in the afternoon. Students are required to fire 20 rounds from either a revolver or a semi-automatic and hit a full-size silhouette target 21 feet away. At least 11 rounds must hit in the silhouette portion of the target.
Class will start promptly at 0800 and is being held in the Dream House Realty Conference Room, 705 N. Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160 (across from Big M Chevrolet). Seats are filling up quickly! RESERVE your spot with a $25 deposit.
Private Firearms Training - by Appointment
Doyenne Firearms & Training offers private gun training. Some people don’t do well in a classroom environment. Our instructors are available for one-on-one instruction based on your experience or needs. We can do a one-time tutoring session or regular weekly/monthly lessons. Use your equipment or ours.
This is perfect if you have never fired a gun or guns make you nervous. Lessons will be tailored specifically to meet your needs. Go at your own pace and get your questions answered.
If you are considering purchasing a firearm, we will assist you in purchasing one that will be the best fit for you.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course - blended is a great way for you to learn the basics of pistol shooting from the top firearms training organization in the world! The course may be used for you to obtain the certification for your concealed carry permit in some states.
